Hello! I am so glad that you all are enjoying the Hero Arts / Lawn Fawn swap! Lisa and I are just having so much fun, and we are so glad you have joined us in our stampy, felty party! :)Let's check out Lisa's gorgeous card for today!
I completely adore this. I would frame this card! I just love it! She combined Lawn Fawn's Petite Florals with Girls Paperie paper for the perfect feminine touch. Using the xoxoxo sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments adds that bit of whimsy that is so Lisa!
How fun are these felt flowers?! I love them! This is such a cool way to combine stamping and felt! To make the flowers Lisa cut strips of felt, rolled it and gave the felt a twist every now and then to create a petal. Then she attached it to the card above a stamped stem. I know I can't wait to try this! I love how they match the Petite Florals flowers so perfectly! Also, we must take a minute to admire Lisa's coloring. Ahhhh. So beautiful. The way she combines Copics and colored pencils is just brilliant!
I hope you had fun seeing another way to incorporate felt into your stamping! Make sure to head on over to the Hero Arts blog to see what's going on over there!
And, I just can't help myself! Let's do another giveaway! How does Petite Florals sound? :)
Just leave us a comment by Wednesday at 11:59PM EDT telling us if you have ever made your own flower embellishments, and we will pick a random winner!Patterned paper: Girl's PaperieStamps: Lawn Fawn (petite florals, sophie's sentiments)Ink: Memento (rosebud, pear tart)Etc: Michael's felt, fabric glue, Copics (G40, RV10), Prismacolor colored pencils

wow...amazing card...love they way lisa has used the petite florals !!! :) gorgeous colours and colouring...
ReplyDeleteI will try the same if I win this set :P
I am sure having a good time cos of the swap...
Those felt flowers are absolute gorgeous! I've made some flowers embellies myself using yarn... and it can be a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThose are great, never thought of using felt like that. I'm drawing a blank on if I've ever made my own flowers, so I guess I'll say no.
ReplyDeleteI've never made my own flower embellies (except if punching a flower and adding a pearl in the center counts... oh, and also coloring a paper flower with Promarkers...)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I've tried to make my own flowers a few times, both with paper and felt. It's super fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove those felt flowers! I've tried making my own paper flowers but they never turn out as cute as the ones I see online. Maybe felt would be easier to work with...I'll have to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card I totaly love it.
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely adorable card...and yes I've made some of my own flower embellies...love the felt ones on the card! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the felt flowers, filing away for a new way to make flowers. I attempted satin flowers over the weekend, let's just say I need more practice LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove the felt flower wreath. Cant wait to cick on lawn fawn and see what your all about. Love clear stamps. Thanks for the chance of wining.
ReplyDeleteYeah her felt flowers rock! I like the alternating of the felt with the stamped images. I make my own flowers but they seem as delicate and sweet as Lisa's do here. Hmmm. Maybe I am not twisting the petals like her? I will work on it. thanks for daring her shabby and cute card!
ReplyDeleteI love making my own embellishments, and flowers are just so fun and versatile!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card!!! I have made my own flower embellies and love doing it!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! LOVE the dimension Lisa added to the flowers with felt. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI've made some paper flowers before, and they're fun to make. I love the texture the felt adds and will have to try some from that.
ReplyDeleteDeniseB
While I have not made any yet - you have given me some great inspiration to get started making some! Thanks!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous card. I have just finished making some organza flowers (you know the ones that you melt the edges!) They are so easy which is lucky as I had to make about 100 of them for our school fete!!
ReplyDeleteI love Lisa's card- the combination
ReplyDeleteof stamped images, PP and felt is
wonderful! I have tried making my
own embellishments but it didn't
look this good.
I don't remember making my own flower embellishments, but love the ones Lisa created!
ReplyDeleteI love making my own flower embellishments. The possibilities are endless and it's easier on the wallet. Lisa's little flowers are so cute!
ReplyDeletePretty card! Sadly, the closest I have ever come to making my own flower embellishments is to punch out flower shapes and attach a brad as a center. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeletesoo sweet! i've made my own with long strips of fabric and hot glue as well as stamping on fabric and cutting the stamped images out.
ReplyDeletePetite Florals sounds delightful! I just love this little switch you did! Too fun! This card is just adorable btw!
ReplyDeleteLove the card. I've made a few different flower embellishments. They're so fun and you get exactly what you want. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card - what a fantastic idea! I've never made felt flowers like these, but am currently on a paper flower kick, trying all kinds of techniques to make my own flowers. My current favorite involves layers of punched or hand-cut flowers held together with a brad, then soaked with water to form the petals in pretty ways. Would love to win this cute set - thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteLove this! It's sweet, simple, and gorgeous! Cool idea to mix the stamped flowers with felt ones.
ReplyDeleteI have made many of my own flower embelishments, but I have never tried felt flowers. I will definately be heading to the scraproom to give this a go. I don't know why I have never tried though because I have used felt embelishments before and I love them. I guess I just needed someone to point out that I could do them myslef. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSharon
Beautiful Card!! I have made flowers from felt, burlap, canvas and regular material. It adds a great touch to the card.

ReplyDeleteI've made my own flower embellishments, but haven't use them too often. {blush} ;)
very pretty love the little felty flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove this pretty in pink floral card! The combination of gorgeous papers and flower embellishments is just perfect. The only floral embellishment I have ever made is the one where you gather a piece of ribbon into a rosette to make a flower.
ReplyDeleteCute card, once again!
ReplyDeleteI made my own flower a while back, and I enjoyed it very much. I think I need to do it again soon! :)
Really gorgeous card Lisa!! Love the soft, feminine look so much!
ReplyDeleteLove the card...the paper is so shabby chic and feminine...my favorites! I've made flowers from paper..running punched petals thru my crimper to break down the fibers so the flowers are soft.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I just bought a roll of tulle to make my own flowers!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea. I have made flower embellishments of my own, usually using card stock and/or tissue paper, punching out different flowers and stacking them together. Now I have to try Lisa's felt one! I have visited Lawn Fawn and like what I see!
ReplyDeleteI'm so loving today's card and no I have never made my own flower embellishments but it is definitely on my list of things to try.
ReplyDeleteI've never actually made my own flower embelishments unless you count stamping and cutting them out to pop dot them. I really love these flowers though. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteOf course! Making your own is often the best way to get the perfect match. Plus making stuff is what this hobby is all about.:-)

ReplyDeleteLOVE that- every single bit of it!!!
ReplyDeleteI have made my own flowers- and think it's so fun!!
Lisa's card is sooo pretty and feminine. And I love Kelly's card on the Hero blog. I recently started making flowers from colored and patterned cardstock by cutting out three of three different sized flowers, then skewering them on a brad, soaking with water, turning up each separate petal tightly into the center, spritzing continually, and finally pulling each petal down with my paper piercer. They are so beautful. Oh I forgot to say that I inked the edges with Staz On before folding up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! I love making my own flowers, that way the project is that much more personal =) I've made some from felt, paper, vellum, and layering stamped and cut out images. SO fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card - cute idea - I will have to give this a try! I have made my own flowers before, but only out of paper.
ReplyDeletelove the rosebud stamp! I have made my own flower embellishments out of mulberry paper, dryer sheets, and most recently out of "grip mat" that pebbly, foamy kind of stuff that you put down to keep things from sliding.
ReplyDeleteThis set is so cute!

ReplyDeleteI think Lisa's 'stuff' is just awesome. Been keeping track of her for a few years on the Hero Arts Blog. I hope Wednesday's Video shows us how to make those cute felt flowers

ReplyDeleteOne of the cutest flower cards I have seen in a long time! I sometimes put a little rhinestone in the middle of flowers to make them pop! This set would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI've crocheted a few flowers. Lisa's pretty things make me want to try felt.
ReplyDeleteYes, I make my own embellishments, that is the fun part, sometimes I use my prima, but making flowers with the stamps and from a video on You tube is all the fun, I can't wait to try out the little Roses Lisa made today, they are so cute!!
